16.3/17hh 5 year old gelding

How stunning is this boy?! 🤩
He has lovely floaty paces, jumps, hacks out alone and in company, is a gentleman to have around on the yard, is easy to do in and out of the stable!
The only thing that could possibly put you all off is that he does have a couple of sarcoids high up on the inside of a hind leg. They are in no way affecting him, haven't changed since his owner has had him and so we are leaving them alone because of this.
This doesn't mean that we are giving him away so before I get endless messages that he isn't worth anything because of these and you can give him a 5 star home don't bother!
This is a really nice young horse, he is only 5 and is going to be amazing for someone who wants to continue producing a very smart horse.
We feel that he would definitely event or even just dressage or showing as he carries on filling into his frame. As long as he is happy and with the right person we don't really care what he goes on to do because he won't!

Duque is such a lovely boy who will suit a hacking, low level schooling home, maybe some clinics / competitions once he has bonded with his new person.
He is a big softie who will thrive on a one to one relationship!

He is a really easy boy to do and will switch up or down depending on what you ask him to do when he ridden.
He can be ridden quietly and softly and be the most laid back boy ever or he can go up a few gears if you prefer something with a bit more enthusiasm!
He is responsive, trainable and a pleasure to have on the yard.

Meet Ed 🏇

A super friendly big horse who is ready to find his new person.
Ed is 9 rising 10 and is an absolute gentleman who is loving his retraining. He retired from racing after tweaking a tendon but his leg is fully healed and he was given the all clear to return to racing. His lovely owners have decided to have him retrained and rehomed instead as they would love to see him enjoying a second career now.
Without us actually telling anyone about the tendon, I doubt it would even be noticed. His leg is straight and there is no sign that there was ever an injury.
He was rehabbed with us and has spent the last 15 months here.
Someone is going to find themselves a very special friend in Ed!
He would certainly do a very nice Dressage test or Show because he carries himself so naturally and has lovely paces. No reason why he also couldn't do some jumping further along in his re education because he was fine to go back into training.
If you are looking for a big fluffy teddy bear in your life, to have some fun with or get out there to do some competing then please get in touch.

He is out hacking alone and in company, easy to do in all ways.

I can honestly see Ron out eventing. He has good paces and loves his jumping and has plenty of scope.
Even in a Dressage arena I think he would do really well with the right person to continue his education and there is no reason why he wouldn't progress up the levels!

This was such a great week for National Racehorse week in September.
Looking forward to doing it all again next year!

Timon is a fabulous stamp of a horse!
He is 16.3hh, 6 years old and a real nice horse to ride and have on the yard.
Timon loves his hacking and he is doing some light schooling. He really enjoys his work and likes to be doing something. He doesn't need riding every day but does enjoy it so would suit someone that wants a horse to do a bit with.
He had an injury to his near hind fetlock when in training which has left him with a slightly larger joint. He was given the all clear to return to training after his period of rehab was completed but the trainer decided he wasn't good enough to continue with.
We have taken it slowly with him and spent most of our time hacking Timon with a little light schooling.
Timon will suit a hacking home, maybe low level dressage & showing in time.
This is a lovely horse and he loves people so someone is going to have a lot of fun and enjoyment with this boy!
He reired in the summer of 2023 and was turned away until summer this year.

Sage ( Sage Advice ) is a lovely stamp of a horse!
He is 7 years old, 16hh and is now looking for his new home.
He is happiest when he is out hacking. Sometimes he can get a bit anxious when in the school so we have focused mainly on hacking him and keeping his schooling sessions short and sweet.
He hacks out alond and in company.
He is a very good doer! Maybe suit an endurance rider?!
He did crib when we first had him but we turned him away for a year and now he doesn't seem to do it anymore in the fields and will only occasionally go to crib in the stable if he changes stables and then we just put a bit of cribox on the door and he doesn't try again!
Really sweet horse who will benefit in a quiter yard with a good one to one relationship with someone. Doesn't need riding every day. You can straight on and just go for a hack!

Beaver is a really cute little horse who will suit a varied fun home. He enjoys his jumping and is great to hack out both alone and in company.
We have just introduced him to fillers and he is starting to make a nice shape over a fence.
Beaver can work well in the school and has good paces. He struggles with striking off on his right hand canter ( see video ) but is improving with this all the time.
He will make someone a fab little project over the winter or would happily just go out hacking if that home came along for him.
He is so ready for that one to one relationship and we would love to get him in that home as soon as possible!

We rehomed Brian just over a year ago and this was taken in August 2023.
He was the most amazing ride right from the start of his retraining. I stole him from Matt this day and he was sold not long after to the first person to view him. I'm not sure he even had an advert out. They contacted us looking for a horse and I said we had the perfect one!
Wish we could have kept this boy but he has the best home 🏇

We had an absolutely brilliant first open day on Saturday as part of @greatbritishracing National Racehorse Week at our Midlands Racehorse Rehabilitation yard 🏇
Luckily the weather was kind to us and a huge thank you to everyone who came!
The horses loved all the attention and were impeccably behaved. We love showing off our yards and what we do and we are so passionate about giving these horses the best possible starts after their racing careers!
We couldn't do all this without our amazing team who keep the yards going and take such fabulous care of the horses.
They have worked extra hard over the last couple of weeks and a huge thank you to them all!
Also big thanks to my Mum who made all the sandwiches and kept everyone fed and watered and of course Marshall who was keeping everyone entertained and was trying to sell all the horses 😂
It has been a ridiculously busy weekend and we are all shattered but we have thoroughly enjoyed it 😊
Next week we are doing a demo for Ian Williams Racing Limited on Thursday and then we have another open day for us on Saturday!

If you like big girls then this one is a huge 17hh, hence why Matt is taking the reins on her, I feel far too little on her!
Meet Dolly, she is 6 years old and hasn't done anything for a year due to owners circumstances so she has come to us to get restarted and to find someone who wants to continue her education and have some fun with her.
She has lovely big paces and she is starting to hack out again.
Dolly is a bit pigeon toed but that will improve with shoeing, they have already got better since we had her feet trimmed and put her shoes back on.
She is good to handle on the ground and settled in really well when she came to us.
Dolly will be a nice project for someone to bring on and see where she wants to go in life.
No novices and she isn't one for any kids coming off ponies, she is far too big for that!

We haven't done a video about our retraining for a while now and we have loads that I am hoping to put together!
Managed to do this one the other night of a 5 year old chestnut mare who is with us to see if we think she can be retrained for a new career after Racing.
She came to us with a bit of a typical chestnut mare reputation both in the stable and whilst ridden and we were made fully aware of the issues she she has presented whilst in training. The trainer she has been with has done a great job working with her but the decision was made by her owners and trainers that racing just wasn't for her.
We are trying to see if she will be okay to have a ridden career outside of Racing. I love working with mares and she is definitley an interesting one because she does have a lot of attitude! Now we just need her to be my friend and turn the negative attitude into postitive for her so she can start enjoying her learning for her retraining.

Retraining a quirky Beaver!
SFM from THE Equine Edge is one of our favourite supplements for our horses!
The Stomach Function Maintenance supplement is amazing at helping keep our horses happy and healthy.
I was always a bit dubious about how much gut health could affect them but it really does.
Beaver has had all winter out in the fields and when the spring grass came through he started to look and feel very well. This happened to coincide with us starting his retraining!
We were told he could be a bit sharp when he was in training and maybe he thought he was going back into training as well but I had a little bomb underneath me the first day I got on him. We managed to walk all the way down the track to the school and then he just couldn't control himself any longer. It was a get off and give up day because he would have only spiralled more had I tried to persist!
We did nothing with him for a month apart from feed him a handful of chaff with his SFM and the odd day on the walker.
He is now a happy, chilled out little boy who is loving his retraining and we are so excited to see what path he wants to take in his new life after Racing!

Meet Tony! An absolute gentleman who could be the ultimate allrounder and equally be the perfect cuddly pony for someone.
Tony has been out competing in unaffiliated events. He has jumped a couple of courses at 1m, is very happy popping around 90's at the moment and could be an ideal horse for the grassroots eventing!
Plenty of XC schooling over all types of fences and has confidently jumped some Novice fences. Very straightforward, can get a bit excited jumping but just enjoys his work.
He has got history of having his hocks medicated a few times last year whilst out competing so a lower level home may end up suiting him best but he is sound, happy, loves his work and no reason he couldn't have a great jumping career.
He hunted in a previous home so would be happy doing that again or maybe team chasing as well!
Works nicley in the school, hacks out alone and in company. He loves people and he really is a pleasure to do in all ways!
Tony could suit so many people. We just want to make sure he finds himself the right one!

Well we did it!
3 open days as part of @greatbritishracing National Racehorse Week 🏇
I won't lie, it has been exhausting but we have all thoroughly enjoyed opening our doors for people to come and see what we do.

Today we took Shanty Town to the Petplan Equine Area Festivals at Bromyard Equestrian and we finished 3rd with 67.92 %
We haven't had an outing for months so really pleased with how well he coped in the arena today ❤️🏇

Honestly never known it so quiet on viewings!
We have such a lovely bunch of horses ready to go and others waiting to come in, so what is everyone looking for?!
Message me what you want to do with a horse, height range, type of home you can offer ( diy, private, busy or quiet yard ) and most importantly your budget and then I can let you know what we have that might suit.
We are always open to offers but I'm not giving them away!
Finding the right homes are the most important things to us and as much as I Iove all the horses here with us they need to be with their new owners now!
They all absdolutely fabulous and we will make sure that we match you to the most suitable horse.
We can do viewings any day next week but not the weekend.

Now we still need to find this gorgeous boy his new home!
Socks really loves his jumping, is very smart under saddle and a chunk of a boy who certainly wouldn't look out of place in the show ring either ridden or in hand and in the dressage arena. He is clean limbed and has no vices.
He enjoys his off road hacking but not traffic so would suit a home where you can either go off road or a person who doesn't mind not taking a horse out on a hack.
He would love someone to come and see him!
Socks had loads of interest when we fisrt posted his photo when he arrived and then everyone seemed to disappear when he was ready to start looking for his new owner.
As you all know by now we will do everything possible to find them the right homes with the right people so if you think Socks may suit you give us a call or drop us a message!
He is 16.1hh and 10 years old 🏇
